c-Systems Launches Equipment Locator Tool to Help Dealers Meet Customer Expectation Amid Supply Shortages

Arlington, TX, December 9, 2021 –c-Systems Software Inc., a leading dealership management software vendor in North America, have launched tool called Equipment Locator that enables dealers to source equipment from other dealers, widen their customer base, and build better relationships with other dealers in their area. Equipment Locator was developed in response to supply chain disruptions, in an ongoing effort to help dealers succeed despite challenges in the market.

Many dealers are unable to fulfil customer orders because of out-of-stock equipment. Equipment Locator allows dealers to search for equipment available in stock at other dealerships in their area, without needing to rely on manufacturers. Dealers can search equipment by model and whether the model is new or used. This enables dealers to make a profit from used equipment sitting in your stock, such as rental equipment, abandoned equipment, or equipment that will cost more to repair it than sell, equipment for consignment, and older models that customer may be seeking out.

Not only that, but Equipment Locator allows other dealers to see if you have an item available. By letting customers know you have equipment available to other dealers, you can widen your customer base while also building a supportive network with other dealerships. Dealers concerned about security can rest easy because Equipment Locator does not allow other dealerships to see their full equipment list, equipment’s serial numbers, and all equipment purchases currently take place outside of the platform.
